Reminder: Parent & Student Survey, Progress Reports Coming Up

Salaam alaikum, our dear Al‑Hujjat community!

We pray you are all doing well inshaAllah, and that your week has been full of blessings.

We have just a few short reminders this week of the part you play as parents in the Madrasah education of your child and the survey for all parents and students to be completed by Wed. Dec. 1st.

We would like to also wish you the Wiladat of our holy Imam Hasan al-Askari (as) Mubarak in advance. Our eleventh Imam, father of our beloved Imam Al-Hujjat (aj), was born 1,211 years ago this week. Wiladat Mubarak!

Your Part as a Parent

As a third of our Tripartite team of students, parents, and teachers, you as parents have a part to play in ensuring the success of your children in growing up to be compassionate, knowledgeable, and thoughtful lovers of the Ahlul Bayt (as). Here are some tips to help you in this role:

  • Check your child’s Google Classroom page regularly for updates from teachers
  • Help your child make sure their homework is completed every week
  • Make sure your child is attentive in class (and follows the Zoom etiquette guidelines)
  • Ask your child about what they are learning in Madrasah and help them review
  • Go beyond the classroom by reviewing Tarbiyah principles, Qur’an recitation, and Salah practice at home

Please Respond: Parent/Student Survey

Survey link

We would like to know more about what you, parents and students, think of Madrasah education at Al-Hujjat. Therefore, please take a few minutes to fill out this short, anonymous survey to tell us about how you think we are doing, what you like about Al-Hujjat, and what you would like to see improve.

We would also like to know what you would like to see in our end-of-term student workshop, as well as our Term 2 Bulugh Day workshop, which are also contained in the survey. Your choices will affect our upcoming programs, so make sure to participate!

This survey is open to all parents and students at Al-Hujjat, so please make sure to fill it out as soon as possible! The deadline to complete the survey is Wed. Dec. 1st.

Coming Up: Progress Report Cards

Since the end of Term 1 is coming up, your children’s teachers will be working on preparing Progress Reports to be handed out on Sun. Dec. 19th. In preparation for this, we highly recommend that you follow the above advice to help your children succeed in their Madrasah education.

We hope to see you in class on Sunday inshaAllah!
