End-of-Term Events at Al-Hujjat
Salaam alaikum, our dear Al‑Hujjat community!
We pray that you are all doing well inshaAllah, and that your week has been full of blessings.
We are nearing the end of term, and therefore, our Term 1 school-wide assembly will be held next Sunday Dec. 12th. Keep an eye out for an invitation email!
Next Week: End-of-Term Assembly
Next Sunday morning, we will inshaAllah be having a school-wide assembly for all parents, students, and teachers. There are several activities planned for the assembly, including:
- Message from Maulana
- Announcement of the Students of the Term in each class
- Presentation by the senior students of Al-Hujjat
- Various prizes (including a door prize for those who arrive on time)!
So make sure you make the time to attend! An email with the invitation will be sent along later this week.
The following week, Sun. Dec. 19th, will be the last day of Madrasah in this term inshaAllah.
Assessments & Progress Report Cards
Since the end of Term 1 is coming up, your children’s teachers will be working on preparing Progress Reports to be handed out on Sun. Dec. 19th. In preparation for this, we highly recommend that you follow the advice below to help your children succeed in their Madrasah education.
In particular, students who are Baligh(a) will continue to be evaluated this week on their knowledge of Wudhu and Salaat, to help guide their growth into adult Muslims. The results of these evaluations will be recorded in their progress reports.
Your Part as a Parent
As a third of our Tripartite team of students, parents, and teachers, you as parents have a part to play in ensuring the success of your children in growing up to be compassionate, knowledgeable, and thoughtful lovers of the Ahlul Bayt (as). Here are some tips to help you in this role:
- Check your child’s Google Classroom page regularly for updates from teachers
- Help your child make sure their homework is completed every week
- Make sure your child is attentive in class (and follows the Zoom etiquette guidelines)
- Ask your child about what they are learning in Madrasah and help them review
- Go beyond the classroom by reviewing Tarbiyah principles, Qur’an recitation, and Salah practice at home
We hope to see you in class inshaAllah!
