Welcome Back for Term 2!

Salaam alaikum, our dear Al‑Hujjat community!

We pray that you are all doing well inshaAllah, and that you had an enjoyable and blessed Winter Break.

Firstly, we would like to express our condolences to the Imam of Our Time, Al-Hujjat (a.j.) and all of you upon the occasion of the martyrdom of Sayyida Fatima Zahra (s.a.).

We would also like to welcome you back for another wonderful term of Madrasah at Al-Hujjat! Our first day back will be this Sunday, Jan. 9th, 2022 inshaAllah. Alhamdulillah your children’s teachers and all of us admin are ready and excited for Term 2! InshaAllah there will be a Parent Assembly and Parent-Teacher Meeting Day next Sunday, Jan. 16th, so please register early. And there are several other announcements, so please read on!

Madrasah Resumes on Jan. 9th

We will be back for Term 2 classes this Sunday January 9th. Please read the following announcements for the start of term.

Term 2 Registration

If you have not yet registered your children for Term 2, please visit al-hujjat.ca/registration to register before the start of Term 2. If you have any questions, or are having trouble registering, please reach out to us by emailing [email protected], or by contacting our Secretary directly on WhatsApp at (289) 690-7116.

Term 2 Parent Assembly & Parent-Teacher Interviews

On our second week back after the break, Sun. Jan. 16th, we will inshaAllah be holding a (mandatory) Parent Assembly at 9:00-10:00 a.m. as well as Parent-Teacher Interviews during Madrasah time. Quran teachers will be available to meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, and Tarbiyah teachers will be available to meet from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

If you would like to meet with any of your children’s teachers, please register for a time slot to meet with a teacher. You will need to fill out this registration form to receive an invitation to a specific Parent-Teacher Interview.

Term 1 Progress Reports Distributed

Before Winter Break, Progress Report Cards were handed out by email. If your children were recognised as Students of the Term at the Mid-Term Assembly, their official Student of the Term certificates were also distributed by email.

Hijab Seminar Raffle Winners

Although we did not do any raffles during the seminar out of respect for the shahaadat of our Lady of Light Sayyida Fatima (s.a.), we did take note of the names of all those who attended and put them in a Wheel of Names to select the two blessed winners of the Door Prize and Exit Prize. The winners are below:

  • Exit Prize Winner: Yasmine Cheaib in Band B

Hijab Seminar Survey

New: Homework Club

A new initiative being started at Al-Hujjat is the Homework Club, which is for students who would like to spend time outside of class with a teacher to guide them in their Madrasah homework. Whether it’s Tarbiyah homework, Quran recitation, or Salah practice, your child can attend Homework Club every other Friday evening starting on Fri. Jan. 28th. The Zoom ID and password can be found in the invitation above.
